The Linux System Administrator is in charge of running, securing and optimising our server infrastructure located in Datacenters around the globe, and ensuring that our next-generation, distributed content discovery, recommendation and data processing systems are provisioned, deployed and run smoothly.

We call Vienna – Austria our home, but currently also have employees in Graz – Austria and London – UK. While some roles may be location dependent, we welcome remote working.
It is a full time job from the Vienna office (work permit or EU resident) or from a remote location with regular e-meetings.
Linux System Administrator (Vienna)
Responsibilities
- Planning, design, implementing and testing of new technologies, infrastructure concepts, HA strategies, as well as migration of applications to new operating systems.
- Scripted configuration, deployment, operation and monitoring of high-availability applications
- Managing of complex Linux systems, analysis, documentation and troubleshooting
- Hardware resource planning/measurement and performance test creation/execution, close cooperation with development
Requirements
- University degree/degree from a University of Applied Sciences/graduate from a higher technical education institute or several years of professional experience
- Solid experience working with Linux infrastructure, Java applications, security technologies, network technology
- Experience in working with high-load systems and performance optimisation is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, openresty/nginx, tomcat, elasticsearch, scripting, python
